Edith Drucilla Burger

Edith Drucilla Burger, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Big Spring United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a graduate of Bradley High School and a riveter during the World War II effort. She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Burger; parents, William E. and Nancy Rominger Curtis; six brothers: James Curtis, Horace Curtis, Fred Curtis, J.L. Curtis, Austin Curtis and Otis Curtis; two sisters: Beatrice Curtis and Pearl McCracken. She is survived by her children: Jimmy Burger and wife, Barbara; Vicki Brown and husband, Michael all of Cleveland; four grandchildren: Lesley Burger Price and husband, Steve; Keri Burger Gaylor and husband, Chris; Amy Brown Reece and husband, Brad; Tyler Brown and wife, Misty all of Cleveland; five great grandchildren: Lydia Price, Jack Price, Lucas Reece, Kloie Bates and Rilen Gaylor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lyle White officiating. A private graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
