Hoyt J. Hall, 75, a resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at a local hospital. He was a foreman with Cleveland Roofing Company for 25 years. He was a member of Little Conasauga Baptist Church in Murray County, Ga. and was a former pastor of Sunrise Baptist Church. He also served as a deacon at Samples Memorial Baptist Church. He was a member of the original “Travelaires” quartet. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joe and Ava Dunn Hall; three sisters: Reba Green, Edith Mowery, and Maggie Marler and two brothers: Lester Hall and J.C. Hall. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beulah Botts Hall of Cleveland; four children: Edward Hall and wife Martha of Knoxville, TN, Donnie Hall and wife Ollie, Elaine Norwood and husband, Terry, Sherry Farris all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Chris Norwood, Shaine Hall, Jamie Hall, Kim Avans, Donna Faye Hall, Tina Stinnett and Tobbie Cottrell and several great-grandchildren; three sisters: Melba Perry of Cleveland, Ruby Johnson of Birchwood, Marie Henderson of Marion County, one brother, Cecil Hall of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Samples Memorial Baptist Church with Pastors Lee Ingram, James Vaughn and Bennie Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Cemetery. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9, 2010 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
