Sandra Dodd Green, 51, of Old Fort, passed safely to the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 with family and friends at her side. Her body is now cancer-free. She loved gardening and animals and was crazy about her two cats, Maxi (who stayed by her side constantly) and Minnie and her Westie Dog, Lili. She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church and had many friends and loved ones there. She was employed by Whirlpool for the past 24 years. She was preceded in death by her father, John Harvey Dodd, Jr., her mother, Mildred Pauline Dodd; father-in-law, Paul Green, as well as several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Michael Paul Green and her son, Tyler Paul Green, who was the light of her life; brother, Steve Dodd who she loved dearly; her niece Brittney Brady and her husband, Jason; nieces, Kyra and Kylie; mother-in-law, Eva Austin who cared for her through the end and was like a mother to her; father-in-law, Elbert Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Sherry Duggan; and nieces, Ashley Duggan and Amanda McDowell. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
