Carolyn Monie Harris

Carolyn “Monie” Harris, 57, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Bertha Lawson Cross; husband, Charles “Cotton” Harris; grandfather, Jay Lawson; grandmother, Elizabeth Hughes Black Lawson; son, John Morgan; and brother, Robert “Hound Dog” Killen. She is survived by her children, Lisa Pressley and husband, Jimmy of Chattanooga, Denise Harris of Cleveland, Charlene Land and husband, Ronny of Ringgold, GA and Charles Harris of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Amber Carney, Alicia Carney, Jastin Lupo, Cayden Harris, Mayci Kate Harris and Keanneth Anderson; one great grandchild, Alexa Key; four sisters, Brenda Hicks of Old Fort, Margie Chambers of Cleveland,Dean Josie Bishop of Charleston and Buffy Dixon of Cleveland; and special loved ones:Betty Terry and Bella Torres. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Danny Emmerson officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Clements, Thomas Clements, Wesley Clements, Daniel Cudd, Daniel Carter and Josh Saffles serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
