William Hahn (Buddy) Bowman III., 56, a resident of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at a medical facility. He was of the Baptist faith and attended The First Baptist Church. He was an avid scholar obtaining four undergraduate degrees and a Masters Degree from Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Construction Management, Computer Science, Journalism, and Photography. He served as Associate Professor at MTSU. He graduated in the top of his class at Cleveland High School and as Valedictorian of Columbia Military Academy. Mr. Bowman owned and operated The Main Street Station Restaurant in Lebanon. He received The Honor Guard Gold Star from President Lyndon Johnson. He was a licensed Pyrotechnic and a stout supporter of the Chicago Cubs. He was preceded in death by his father, William Hahn Bowman Jr. Survivors include his mother, Glenna Walker Bowman; sisters, Elaine B. Clark of Calhoun and Carolyn B. Jones of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Rex Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with. a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
