Melissa Longley Rankine passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 in Tampa, Florida. She was a former resident of Cleveland, TN where she graduated from Cleveland High School Class of 1987 and was also a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in education. She had been a resident of Knoxville, where she had taught school for ten years before moving to Tampa, Florida for the last three years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Scolaro Longley; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.B. Longley of Chattanooga. Survivors include her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Steve Longley of Cleveland; husband, Alec Rankine of Tampa; brother, Caleb Longley of Cleveland; grandmother, Mary Scolaro of Tampa; uncles and aunts: Mark and Mardi Longley of Signal Mountain and David and Linda Longley of Soddy, TN. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Blunt and Curry Funeral Home Macdill Chapel in Tampa, Florida.
