Jerry Dean Robinson, 63, of Cleveland and formerly of Clintwood, VA, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 in a local hospital. He worked for thirty years with Westvaco as a press operator. He was a member of the Local 327 Printers Union. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merdie Jack Robinson and Beulah Mullins Robinson and four brothers, Bill Robinson, Tommy Robinson, Ronnie Robinson and J. R. Robinson. He is survived by the mother of his children, Susie Robinson of Pikeville; children, Melissa Robinson and Miranda Robinson-Patrick and husband, Tiny, all of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Madison Robinson, Justin Patrick and Emily Patrick, all of Spring City and Slade Moats of Cleveland; three sisters, Emma Bise, Anna Silcox and Mary Large, all of Clintwood, VA; close personal friends, Jerry and Linda Chapman of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
