Wilma Jewell Walker

Wilma Jewell Walker, 77, of Charleston, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 in an Etowah hospital. She was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. P. Walker; parents, Reverend Lloyd L. Jones and Mildred Davidson Jones. She is survived by her son, Steve Walker and wife, Cindy of Charleston; grandchildren, Ashley Hunter and husband, Jonathan of Hixson and Addisen Walker of Charleston; sisters, Freida McClure and husband, Joe of Cleveland and Deloras “Meda” Marshall and husband, Reverend James Marshall of Cleveland; brothers, Lewis E. Jones and wife, Sylvia of Crossville and Donald L. Jones and wife, Donna of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Mitch McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
