Willie Maude Atchley

Willie Maude Manning Atchley, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Friday morning, January 1, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was born in Jefferson County, TN on July 23, 1921. She was a devoted employee of the Church of God Publishing House (Pathway Press) for 47 years and a faithful supporter and member of the North Cleveland Church of God for approximately 56 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Rhea Atchley and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Atchley and Pat Atchley Wallace and her husband, Bob, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Robert Wallace III, John David Wallace and Mary Beth Wallace Dixon; great grandchildren, Zachary Wallace, Justin Rhea Wallace, Sarah Wallace-Freeman, Drew Dixon, Diana Dixon and Daniel Dixon; great great grandchildren, Ashton Wallace and Savannah Grace Wallace-Freeman; and a special and dear friend for years, Elva Hewitt Peeler. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverends Cecil Guiles and Phil Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the funeral home.
