Ruby C Bridges

Ruby C. Bridges, 73, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at her residence. She was a well known greeter at the south Walmart where she was loved by many. She was a two time cancer survivor and was involved in children’s charity groups. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who gave unconditional love and care to everyone. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Z. Thomas and Pauline Kell Carroll. She is survived by her children, Davida Bridges, Jarina Davis and husband, Leon and Felicia Floyd and husband, Jesse, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Courtney Nathanuel Bridges, Savana Chyan Davis and Dakota Jackson Davis; brothers, Jimmy Walker Carroll, Joe Carroll and Paul Carroll, all of Rome, GA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
