Irene F. Allen, 82, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 11, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. She was an accomplished seamstress. She loved gospel music and was a doting great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Allen; parents, E.L. and Flora Richmond; and brother, Edward Richmond. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Grimm and husband, Stan of Cleveland; granddaughter, Tracy Frazier and husband, Andrew and great grandchildren, Ethan and Faith Frazier who are missionaries in New Zealand; sister, Lois Eslinger of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend George Bulson officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill-Lebanon Cemetery with Andrew Frazier, Don Cartwright, Jeff Shadwick, Ken Hamilton, Gary Ford and Allen Carter serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Eslinger and Clarence Carter. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the funeral home.
