Jessie Mae Haney, 93, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of North Cleveland Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hayden Haney; parents, Jesse and Muncy McKinney Morrow; sisters, Allie Earby, Stella Morrow, Kay Goodner, Edith Gibson and Mellie Colloms; and brother, R. L. Morrow. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Cross and husband, Jim of Cleveland; granddaughter, Carrie Cross of Cleveland; sisters, Mattie Cartwright and husband, Elmer, Jean McDonald and husband, Charles, Joyce Dantzler, Betty Morrow, all of Cleveland and Hazel Hughes of Nashville; brothers, Haskel Morrow and wife, Betty, John Morrow and wife, Mary and Clifton Morrow, all of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Amy Pickering; and caregivers, Delila Daniel, Vivian Green and Jeannie Long. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Ralph Earby, Brandon McDonald, Bobby Delay, Alan Colloms, DeWayne Morrow and Alan Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Sparkman, H. L. Hamilton, Robert McConnell, DeWayne Hooper, Charlie Wattenbarger and James “Pete” Blackwell. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
