Louanna N. Caldwell, 90, a resident of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on Saturday, December 29, 2012. She spent 20 years as a seamstress at Cooke?s Manufacturing Company and was a member of the Stanfield Baptist Church since 1945. Ms. Caldwell had a wonderful gift for writing poetry. She was a Sunday School teacher in her younger years and was an excellent cook. She was the president of the Caldwell Cousins Society and also enjoyed monthly luncheons with the Graham cousins. Preceding her death was her husband, Amos Caldwell; her parents, Jake and Nola Neeley; brothers, Doyle, and Robert Neeley; sister, Imogene Matthews; and son-in-law, John Hodgson. Survivors include her children, Norma Hodgson of Georgetown, Patsy Neeley and husband Bobby of Georgetown, Delbert Caldwell of Georgetown, Sherry Stephens and husband Barry of Orlando, FL, and Donna Dunaway and husband Ron of Huntsville, AL; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at the Stanfield Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Geren and Pastor David Evans, and Bill Moats officiating. Interment will follow in Stanfield Cemetery with Taylor Dunaway, Tyler Dunaway, Brett Stephens, Matthew Stephens, Neil Hodgson, Lamar Hodgson, Oliver Hovey, Thomas Kammer, Jason Caldwell and Dalton Hodgson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 3:00 – 8:00 Monday, December 31, 2012, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and from 2:00 ? 3:00 prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
