Leola Wrinkle, 102, of Old Fort, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her residence. She was a seamstress with Cleveland Casket Company and Hardwick Woolen Mill. She was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church having joined in 1949. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. B. Wrinkle; parents, Wilson and Josephine Ferguson Collett; nephews, Hayden Lacy and Estes Felker; and niece, China Lacy. Survivors include two nieces, Katherine Moore and Debra Collett; five nephews, Jasper Lacy, Joe Hughes, Walter Hughes, Glenn Collett and Griffin Collett; special friends, Dan and Linda Sue Webb, Cynthia and Jonathon Silvers and Betty Flowers; and special caregiver, Becky Silvers. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Andrew Henry and the Reverend Lu Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
