Eric Christopher Sneed, 41, a resident of Cleveland, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School, class of 1988. He was employed at Peyton’s Southeastern. He was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church where he served as the choir director. He enjoyed serving the Lord and spending time with his family. He also loved watching Vols football. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Miles and Mae Sneed and Virgil and Mae Clark; father-in-law, Gene Tate; and grandfather by marriage, Frank Goforth. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Michelle Rector Sneed; son, Derek Sneed; daughter, Galie Sneed; parents, Gerald and Imogene Sneed; brothers, Lebron Sneed and Mark Sneed and wife, Pam; sisters, Yvonne Holloway and husband, Keith and Leshia Collins and husband, Mitch; mother-in-law, Judy Tate; father-in-law, Charles Rector and wife, Donna; grandmother by marriage, Reba Goforth; brother and sisters-in-law, Michael and Melanie West, Diane and Pete Shaddon and Crystal and Michael Head; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 12. 2010 at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Michael Head, Roy Johnson, Chris Ledford, Chris Walker, Charles Beavers, Brandon Walker, Justin Walker and Don Ingram serving as pallbearers. Daniel Cane will serve as an honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
