Willie Irene Rogers

Willie Irene Rogers, 86, a resident of Birchwood, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in a local healthcare facility. She was a lifelong resident of Meigs County and was retired from Magic Chef. She was of the Baptist faith. Her parents, Bill and Ellen Combs Millard, preceded her in death as well as her husband, J. R. Rogers, son, Carl Rogers, and two brothers: T. J. Millard and Tom Millard. She is survived by three children: Grace Clingan of Cleveland, Jackie Reeves and husband, Richard of Lafayette, GA and Donald Rogers and wife, Juanita of Birchwood; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters: Lucy Rogers and Margie Wilhoite, both of Birchwood; one brother, Clyde Millard of Chickamauga, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery with Tony Rogers, Jimmy Higdon, Jamey Higdon, Eddie Clingan, James Clingan and James Lawson serving as pallbearers.
