Laura Mitchell

Laura R. Mitchell, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 at her residence. She was an L.P.N./unit secretary with Bradley Memorial Hospital for 39 years, Cleveland Community Hospital for 10 years and Skyridge Medical Center for 3 years. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was a dedicated, loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leon Mitchell, Sr., who passed away in 2003; mother, Mary Lou Godfrey Hembree; and brother, Richard Breeden. She is survived by her children, Sandi Cochran and husband, Tony and Buddy Mitchell and wife, Melissa, all of McDonald; 8 grandchildren, Anthony Cochran, Aaron Cochran, Andrew Cochran, Mason Mitchell, Morgan Mitchell, Ashley Brackett and husband, Phil, Jessica Pohlner and Brittany Vogelmeier; 2 great grandchildren, Hilton Vogelmeier and Blakely Vogelmeier;; sister, Nina Fowler and husband, Larry of Cleveland; special nieces and nephews, Candy Clark, Tonya Knox, Gerald Fowler and Larry Fowler, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor David Benton officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery with Anthony Cochran, Aaron Cochran, Andrew Cochran, Gerald Fowler, Larry Fowler, Jr. and Phil Brackett serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
