Jimmie Lou Cate

Jimmie Lou Burgess Cate, 86, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 in a local healthcare facility. She was a very loving mother and loved her family and grandkids very much. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Cate; son, Reuben Cate; daughter, Anna Sue Cate Moore; parents, Florence and H. M. Burgess; brothers, Joe Burgess, Ray Burgess and Prince Burgess; and sisters, Reba Callahan and Katherine Mashburn. She is survived by her son, Jerry Cate and wife, Lecetia of Cleveland; daughters, Sally Stewart and husband, Jack of Old Fort and Louise Womac of Cleveland; grandchildren, Tim Moore, Carroll Cate, Michael Stewart, Mark Stewart, Whitney Gray, Kristi Self, Sherry Cate, Susan Cate, Kendra Cate and Tina Jackson; several great and great great grandchildren; and sister, Inez Taylor. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Hayes and Pastor J.C. Eller officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery with Tim Moore, Carroll Cate, Michael Stewart, Mark Stewart, Cody Buckner and Blayton Womac serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
