Neal W. Parker, 87, of McDonald, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a retired farmer and former member of the Black Fox Saddle Club. He attended Bancroft Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Ramsey Parker; parents, James and Edna Parker; sisters, Aulma Buckner and Dorothy Ramsey; and brothers, Paul, Clifton, Louie, Perry, Aud and James Parker. He is survived by his children, Shirley Ledford and husband, Bill of Cleveland and Larry Parker and wife, Debbie and Betty Ledford, all of McDonald; grandchildren, Alan Ledford of McDonald, Michael and Sharon Parker of Cleveland, Matthew and Jamina Parker of McDonald, Ashley and Amy Parker of McDonald and Chris and Traci Ledford of Wickliffe, KY; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Eric Stansberry and the Reverend Norman Stallings officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Alan and Nathan Ledford, Matthew and Ashley Parker, Mark Burrell and Chad Buckner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends Thursday after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
