Wanda Kay Lawson

July 17, 1939 — May 21, 2010

Wanda Kay Lawson, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. She worked as an administrative assistant at Merchants Bank, Bender Realty and owned and operated WK’s Laundry and Wanda’s Fashions. She enjoyed cooking and flowers and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of Westwood Baptist. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Crutchfield, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Harold Eugene Lawson, Sr. of Cleveland; mother, Ruby Logan of Chattanooga; children, Harold Eugene Lawson, Jr. and wife, Carolina of Boston, MA and Debbie Patten and husband, Lou of Cleveland; grandchildren, Nathalie Ghrist of Cleveland and Jordan Lawson and Justin Lawson of Boston; brother, Raymond Crutchfield, Jr. and wife, Joyce of Lakeview, GA; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cleveland with the Reverend Jim Gibson, the Reverend Jim Caywood and the Reverend Tom Moncrief officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joyce Evans Sunday School Class Members and the Beecher Hunter Sunday School Class Members. Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. The family suggests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Generations Fund, 99 Central Ave., Cleveland, TN 37311.
