Ronald Charles Woodman, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a former juvenile correction officer and also worked on the election board. He was a former employee of Westvaco. Mr. Woodman was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the son of the late George Walter Woodman and Doris Tufts Woodman and was also preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Woodman and Charlotte Woodman and a brother, Walter Woodman, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Nina Lynn Burchfield Woodman of Cleveland; children: Michael Woodman and wife, Angie, Bryan Woodman and wife, Erica, Rhonda Woodman Rogers and Veronica Woodman; stepchildren, Stephanie Lynn Cross and Colby Lee Williams both of Cleveland; grandchildren: Kayla Herndon, Dezaraie Woodman, Megan Woodman, Raleigh Woodman, Taylor Rogers, Stormie Woodman and Titan Woodman; great-grandson, Kaylen Herndon; brothers: Melvin Woodman, Richard Woodman and David Woodman; sisters: Linda Woodman LaRiviera, Terry Woodman Seal and Gail Woodman. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Monday, June 3, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Nolan Phillips of Big Springs Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. Michael Woodman, Bryan Woodman, Titan Woodman, Patrick Woodman, David Woodman, Richard Woodman and Mark Rogers will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the funeral home and also from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon Monday prior to the service.
