Melinda Elizabeth Woods, 52, resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010, at her home. She was retired from M & M Mars in Cleveland and worked part-time with McCoy Auto Parts. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Chatata Valley Ladies Golf Association. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Michael Woods of Cleveland; mother and step-father, Ruth Ann and Frank Smith of Cleveland; step-children: Joshua Woods and Kelsey Woods, both of Ooltewah; sister, Deborah Patterson and husband George of Cleveland; brothers: David Mantooth of Cleveland, and Mark Mantooth of Georgia; nieces and nephews: Jessica Judd, Joey Penland, Mark Mantooth, Jr., all of Cleveland, and Rachel Mantooth of Georgia; and great niece and nephew: Kierstin Penland and Barrett Bowling. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor William Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Bradley County Fire & Rescue serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Her family will receive friends Sunday, September 26, 2010, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
