Deborah J. Blair Hice, 59, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at her home. She had a loving smile and kind word for everyone who knew her. She was a member of Heritage Fellowship Church of God. She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Blair. She is survived by her husband, James Hice of Cleveland; mother, Barbara Clowers of Cleveland; children, Susan (Rondal) Rogers of Cohutta, GA and Stephen Vess of Dalton, GA; the children of her husband, Brenda Ledwell of Chattanooga, Linda Hice of Moab, UT, Phillip (Charlotte) Hice of Grand Junction, CO and Charles (Vickie) Hice of Summerville, GA; two grandchildren, Alex Rogers and Sam Rogers; numerous other grandchildren; sisters, Tina Clowers Baker and Melinda Varnell, both of Cleveland; brother, Ralph Blair, Jr. of Crossville; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including special friend, Donna Hooper. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Heritage Fellowship Church of God in McDonald with Pastor Steve Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery with Chris Varnell, Gene Vess, Phillip Hice, Jonathan Hooper, Clay Baker and Skeeter Baker serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
