Joe Donal Stevenson, 74, a resident of Cleveland, was welcomed into heaven on Sunday October 10, 2010. He was a loyal brother, loving husband and devoted father. He was a skilled and gifted craftsman and was retired from Olin Chemical Corporation where he was employed for 33 years as maintenance supervisor. He was a veteran in the U.S. Marines. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Junior and Onie Bishop Stevenson; sister, Barbara Johnson and brother, Jim Stevenson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Millsap Stevenson of Cleveland; son, Ritchie Joe Stevenson and wife, Amy; granddaughter, Addison Beth Stevenson all of Cleveland; brother, Larry Stevenson and wife, Jeanne of Cleveland; sisters: Joyce Still and husband, Robert F. of Cleveland; Linda Cross and husband, Donald; Patsy Johnson and husband, Jerry L. Sr. all of McDonald; and several nieces and nephews. On Tuesday, October 12, 2010 a private funeral service will be held with Pastors Keith Watson, Jeff Still officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Robert Sheppard officiating. Robert F. Still, Donald Cross, Jerry Johnson, Steve Montgomery, Marvin Stidam, Jerry Moreland, Christopher Johnson and Terry Walsh will be serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with military honors and a white dove release ceremony.
