Charles “Dean” Howard, 48, a former resident of Cleveland and a resident of Greer, South Carolina, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 in a Greenville, South Carolina hospital. He was a member of Waterville Baptist Church since 1976. He enjoyed golfing with his family and spending every weekend treasure hunting with his wife. He is survived by his wife Amy Howard of Greer, S.C.; parents, Charles and Aileen Howard of Cleveland; four sons: Charles Aaron Howard of Cleveland, Christopher Howard of Simpsonville, S.C., Brandon Howard of Mauldin, S.C. and Lane Goff of Greer, S.C.; one daughter, Skyler Goff of Greer, S.C.; two grandchildren, Hailey Lynn Howard of Simpsonville, S.C. and Mason Charles Howard of Cleveland; one sister, Judy Bergeron of Cleveland; two brothers: Marvin Howard of Altamonte Springs, FL and Anthony Howard of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 in Fort Hill Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Charles Aaron Howard, Marvin Howard, Anthony Roberts, Ryan Maynor, Anthony Howard and Larry Bergeron will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the funeral home prior to the service.
