Reba J. Watson, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in a Cleveland hospital. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, N.T. “Nep” and Delta Colley Thompson; brothers: Clyde Thompson and Claude Thompson; and sister, Ruth Lawson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Hubert Watson of Cleveland; children: Alan Watson and wife, Michele of Columbia; Bryan Watson and wife, Jennifer of Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren: Brittany Watson, Jessica Watson, Michael Watson, Emily Watson and Ashlin Watson; 1 brother, Curt Thompson of Homestead, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Caywood, Pastor Jack Price and Pastor Steve Smartt officiating. Interment will follow at Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with Michael Watson, Danny Watson, Roger York, Harold Reno, Boyce Watson, Randy Watson and Cecil Watson serving as pallbearers. Greeters at Westwood Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday prior to the service.
