Frank C Stone

Frank C. Stone, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of Hampton Drive Baptist Church. He worked in the CCC Camps during the depression. He was a graduate of Atlanta Law School and several real estate courses. He was with L & N Railroad for 10 years, the Tennessee Highway Patrol for 11 years and Rich’s Department Store in Atlanta for 20 years. He had extensive real estate holdings. He was an avid coon hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Ensley Stone; parents, John Edward and Myrtle Beene Stone; son, Charles Edward Stone; brothers, Johnny, Greenberry, Jess and Henry Stone; sisters, Lillian Hysinger and Mae Basdon; two grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law. He is survived by his children, Allen Stone and wife, Kim and Johnny Stone, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Leslie Lewis, Carolyn Slate and Stephanie, Eric, Chuck and Mike Stone; seven great grandchildren; and four sisters-in-law, Marie Blankenship of Old Fort and Winnie Ensley, Helen Ensley and Katherine Ensley, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Steve Dills officiating. Interment will follow in Fraziers Chapel Cemetery in Cohutta, GA with Eric Stone, Chris Lewis, Ralph Ensley, Clifford Ensley, Sammy Blankenship and Earnest Ensley serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
