Charles “Chop” Evans Wilson, 47, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a pressman with Dockins Graphics. He was always willing to help anyone who was in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Wilson, Jr. and Nelda Hughes Wilson. He is survived by his children, James E. Wilson and Heather M. Wilson, both of Cleveland; step-daughters, Shaina Akdins and Harley Stanley, both of Cleveland; adopted son, Daniel Ledwell of Cleveland; granddaughter, Kya Ehlers and her mother, Christina Ehlers of Cleveland; sisters, Aimee Holcomb and husband, Don of Hurley MS and Sherry Helms and husband, Ken of Mobile, AL; nephews, Rick and Chris Cooley and Jeremy and Glenn Holcomb; five special friends, Hank Curry, Randall Teague, Belinda Chapman, Margie Verner and Rhonda Stanley, all of Cleveland; and all those he adopted through the years. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Dunaway officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Russell McNeely, Bobby Morrow, Jeremy Holcomb, Glen Holcomb, Daniel Ledwell and Chandler Rogers serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
