Marston “Red” Mullikin, 91, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 in a local healthcare facility after a battle with lung cancer and Alzheimer’s. He was born May 8, 1918 in Trapp, MD. He was a World War II veteran and served 8 years in the Merchant Marines. He received salvation at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Carmen Mullikin; brothers, Francies Mullikin and Lee Mullikin; sister, Anna Mae Carroll; and one great grandchild. He is survived by one sister, Charlotte Mullikin of Crossville; three daughters, Jeanette Mullikin, Dolores Moore and husband, Tony and Valerie Crader and husband, Rusty, all of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, Shawna McCann, Joshua Floyd, Jason Floyd, Olivia Floyd, Taneshea Cecil, Holly Moore, Timothy Swafford, Noah Moore and Tristan Crader; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Guinn Green and the Reverend Tom Moncrief officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
