Mary Talbott Bowen

Mary Talbott Bowen, 66, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her home. She loved and enjoyed music, especially playing her guitar with friends and family. Her life centered around her children and grandchildren. She loved gardening and was proud of her many flowers. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for others. She worked in the medical field all her life. She became a surgical technician which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a member of Cleveland Community Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor “Tab” and Reba Talbott and brother, Robert Talbott. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Whitaker and Elizabeth Doss and husband, Josh; sisters, Jane Lakins and Frances Bailey; brothers, Jim. Perry and John Talbott; four grandchildren, MaCalian Whitaker, Alex Whitaker, Mary Beth Mullenix and Jonathan Doss; and four great grandchildren, Kaden Whitaker, Marie Doss, Tyler Doss and Shaylynn Waters. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Tazz Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
