Marie Lea

Marie Lea, 70, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010. She was a member of Waterville Baptist Church. Mrs. Lea was a devoted caregiver to her mother, Alberta McGehee and was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by father, R. L. McGehee. She is survived by her husband, John Lea of Cleveland; mother, Alberta Boring McGehee of Cleveland; daughter, Tina Lea Sonnier and husband, Mark of Lafayette, LA; grandson, Matthew Joseph McClary Sonnier of Lafayette, LA; sister, Faye Botts of Cleveland; brothers, Larry McGehee and Jim McGehee, both of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews, Terry Botts, Tony McGehee, Karen Botts, Crystal Ward, Mark McGehee, Brian Lea, Ben Lea and Lt. Colonel Curt Prichard. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at Waterville Baptist Church with Pastor Allan Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Terry Botts, Ben Lea, Brian Lea, Ralph Hicks, Ralph Murray and James Farmer serving as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
