James Walter Heifner, 60, a resident of Charleston, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Charleston. He was a machinist and an avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter F. and Velma Louise Jackson Heifner. Survivors include his children: Jacquelyn Suzanne Aldrich and husband, Jack of Jacksonville, FL; James Shawn Heifner and wife, Luisa of Erie, PA; three grandchildren: Victoria Aldrich, John Aldrich and Andrew Besner; brother, John Heifner of Cleveland; sisters: Ruth Delaney and husband, Charles of Cleveland; Bertha Dover and husband, Gene of Dalton, GA; Martha Burgess and husband, J.W. of Charleston; Naomi Hostler and husband, Bill of Titusville, FL; step-mother, Violet Heifner of Charleston and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Isbill officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with his nephews serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
