Harold Martin Dunn

Harold Martin Dunn, 76, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany and also served in the United States Army Reserves. He was retired from Schering Plough. Harold was the proud equipment manager for the Cleveland Middle School football team from 2001-2003. He was presented the Ironman Award for his dedication and service to the team. Mr. Dunn was the son of the late Sam and Minnie Frazier Dunn and was also preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Betty Duncan Dunn and a brother, Justin Dunn. Survivors include his daughter Amy Teague and husband James Teague, Jr. of Cleveland; two grandchildren: Jamison Teague and Anna Elizabeth Teague of Cleveland; one sister, Catherine Underwood of Dunwoody, GA; sister-in-law, Inez Spraker of Cleveland; nephews: Sam Underwood, Rick Spraker and Steve Spraker; niece, Louwana Horne; special friend and adopted daughter, Missy Swiger-Rice; special great niece, Shannon Arthur and great-great niece, Cassidy Arthur. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Jamison Teague, Rick Spraker, Scooter Hayworth, Alan Horne, Sam Underwood, Ken Horne, Steve Spraker, Jacob Ruth, Larry Spence, and Jeff Spence will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Coach Donnie Yates, Coach Scott Carroll, and the players of Cleveland Middle School football team of 2001-2003. His family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2010 at the funeral home prior to the service.
