Millie Bitzel

Millie Simmons Bitzel, 69, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 in Cleveland. She was a member of Ocoee Church of God. She was retired from McKee Bakery. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Bitzel was the daughter of the late Sam and Reba Rice Simmons and was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Bitzel. She is survived by her children: Tony Bitzel and wife Jeannie Bitzel and Tonya Bitzel Kazy and husband Travis Kazy all of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Tony Kazy, James Small and Jacob Small; four sisters: Evelyn Brewer of Kentucky, Treva Mabbit of Illinois, Louise Kincade of Athens and Sylvia Frye of Indiana; four brothers: Sam Simmons, Jack Simmons both of Jasper, TN, David Simmons of Missouri, and Louis Simmons of Michigan; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Restor officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
