Exie Bell Green Conner

June 13, 1929 — February 5, 2015

Exie Bell Green Conner, 85, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the United Faith Chapel  She was a former employee of Magic Chef.  She loved flowers, gardening and quilting. 

 Mrs. Flowers was the daughter of the late John Green and Artha Patterson Green and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Conner and her son, James Wesley Conner; siblings, Willie Green, Brown Lee, Vance Green, Ruby Green, Martha Jane Gates, Richard Green and Viola Green.

 She is survived by her four children:  Lucinda Myers and husband, Herschel of Cleveland, Gary Conner and wife, Joyce of Polk County, Eddie Gladson and wife, Betty, and Johnny Conner and wife, Mattie all of Cleveland; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Della Conner of Fanin County; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend John Wynn and Reverend Eddie Gladson officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Copperhill, TN.  Daniel Conner, Steven Lewallen, Mark Lewallen, Jesse Davis, Randall Gladson and Shawn Gladson will serve as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the funeral home.
