Frances Ruth Curtis, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 in a local health care facility. She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church since 1930 and was a long time volunteer at the Cleveland Senior Center on Urbane Road.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mamie Higgins; sister, Mary Cowart; brother, J. E. Higgins; husband, J. L. Curtis; and son, Gary L. Curtis.
She is survived by her daughter, Olivia D. Hall and husband, Curtis of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Pat Curtis of Cleveland; grandchildren, Michele Boucher and husband, Doug and Scott Curtis and wife, Michelle; four great grandchildren, Doug Boucher, Madison Boucher, Andrew Curtis and Samuel Curtis; and sister, Betty Buslinger and husband, William of Melbourne, FL.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Daniel Malone officiating. The entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Curtis Hall, Scott Curtis, Doug Boucher II, Doug Boucher III, Johnny Borders and Bo Borders serving as pallbearers.
Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
