William Adrain Hamilton
July 19, 1925 — March 18, 2015
William Adrain Hamilton, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He was a member of The Church of God of Zion and loved The Church of God. He was a farmer for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII in France and Germany. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Leona Hamilton; parents, Jess Hamilton and Rachel Adams Hamilton; three sisters, Azzie Timms, Jessie Mae Freeman and Jo Birdie Holcomb.
He is survived by his three sons, Glenn Wayne Hamilton and wife, Patricia of Cookeville, TN, Randall Lee Hamilton and partner, Richard Adkins, and Robert Adrain Hamilton and wife, Cindy all of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Heather Jones and Heath Hamilton both of Cookeville, TN, Shawn Hamilton, Adrain Hamilton, James Hamilton and Kelly Cornelius all of Cleveland; seven great-grandchildren, Cooper Hamilton, Allison Bain, Katelin Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Adrien Hamilton, Hailee Hamilton and Nora Cornelius; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Harvey Anders officiating. Shawn Hamilton, Adrien Hamilton, James Hamilton, Heath Hamilton, Joey Jones, and Kyle Cornelius will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to The Church of God of Zion, 193 Tilley Road, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312.
