Beverly Elaine Smith

Beverly Elaine Nourse Smtih, 96, a resident of Charleston, TN passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her residence.  She was a very active member of Westwood Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Phoebe Sunday School Class and also a member of the Senior Citizens Group and served as a greeter at the church.  She loved poetry and has written many poems and loved reading literature and writing.

 Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Smith; her two children, Karen Smith Flannigan and Steven Robert Smith; her parents, Royal H. Nourse and Zelma G. Keith Nourse; three brothers, Harold Nourse, Fred Nourse and Judson Nourse and a sister, Alice Jean Standish.

 She is survived by her two children:  Cheryl Smith Coffman and husband, Douglas of Charleston, TN and Gene W. Smith of St. Petersburg, Florida;  six grandchildren, Jason W. Sandidge US Navy of China Lake, CA, Joanna E. Lewis of San Diego, CA, Joel Robert Sandidge, US Airforce of Fort Dix, New Jersey, Debra Hicks of Knoxville, TN, Sheryl Akins of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gregory Coffman of Maynolia, Delaware; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Caywood and Reverend Wayne Finnell officiating. Interment will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
