Charlotte Evelyn Hines
August 2, 1926 — June 2, 2015
Charlotte Evelyn Hines, 88, a resident of Chattanooga and a former resident of Dauphin, PA, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of the Canadian Military and loved Penn State football, Phillies, Canadian Olympics, knitting and boating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Hines; parents, William Blackstock and Kathleen Harris Blackstock; and her companion, Earl Spohn; siblings: Bill Blackstock, Stanly Blackstock and Hazel Brown.
She is survived by her two brothers: Bob Blackstock and Dell Blackstock both of B.C. Canada; several nieces and nephews also survive; extended family, Dori Quigley and family of Halifax, PA, Stephen and Karen Spohn and family of Dauphin, PA, George and Kathi Linden and family of McDonald, TN, Lois Myers of McDonald, TN, Standifer Place staff and residence of Chattanooga, TN, Camellia Home Health Care of Ooltewah, TN and Memorial Hospital of Chattanooga, TN.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Paxtang Cemetery in Harrisburg, PA with Bishop Lewis Leeper officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Standifer Place Assisted Living Activities Department, 2636 Walker Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
