Joseph Allen Chestnut

Joseph “Joe” Allen Chestnut, Sr., 64, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an entrepreneur and previously employed with Vulcan Materials.
He loved horses and hot rod cars. He loved to make his family and friends laugh and he always loved to make people smile. He loved being a Grandfather, Father, Husband and Friend.
Mr. Chestnut was the son of the late Joseph Henry Chestnut and Lemoyne Graham Chestnut.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Deborah Kay Hudson Chestnut of Cleveland, TN; two children: Joseph Allen Chestnut, Jr. and wife, Summer of Satellite Beach, Florida and Amanda Ward and her husband, Andrew of Cleveland, TN; two grandchildren: Brianna Chestnut of Satellite Beach, Florida and Alexus Ward of Cleveland, TN; two sisters; one brother; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Geren officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
