Judy Ann Riggs Gates, 62, of Cleveland passed away Friday, November 7, 2014, at her residence.
She had worked in the sewing department at American Uniform and United Knitting. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Tabernacle. She was actively involved in church activities and enjoyed knitting.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald A. Estridge.
She is survived by three children, Brandy Branam and husband Joshua, Dionna Vandergriff and husband Shane, and Benjamin A. Franklin; mother, Lillie Mae Carter; three grandchildren, Cody Hannah, Breonna Vandergriff, and Austin Vandergriff; three great grandchildren, Destiny Vandergriff, Kadyn Hannah, and Bentley Hannah; brother, Steve Riggs, sister, Barbara Woods; foster children, Jeremy N. Raper and Kimberly Michelle Milsaps; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Shane Vandergriff, Hunter Wilson Vandergriff, Hayden Wilson Vandergriff, Cody Hannah, Adam Franklin, Austin Vandergriff, serving as pallbearers. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at the funeral home.
