Adam Thomas Melton, 34, a lifelong resident of Calhoun, passed away Monday, December 01, 2014 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. He was employed with Amazon. Adam loved playing with his loving son, Waylon and also enjoyed motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his uncle. Eddie Watson.
He is survived by his parents, Sharon and Danny Melton of Calhoun; son, Waylon Thomas Melton of Calhoun; one brother, Nathan Reed Melton and wife, Mandi; three nephews: Zachary, Seth and Joshua Melton; aunts: Barbara Melton of Maryville and Audrey Watson of Spring City; three uncles: Reed Melton of Calhoun, Wendell Watson and wife, Judy and Tip Watson and wife, Tammy all of Spring City; several cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Kevin Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow in Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery with Titus Snyder, Eddie Watson, Rusty Norris, Larry Fowler, Reggie Walker and Chris Dodson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
