Ernest Lewis Davis

November 15, 1944 — December 9, 2014

Ernest Lewis “Mousey” Davis, 70, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 09, 2014 in a Collegedale healthcare facility.  He was a member of Mt. Zion New Covenant Church of God.  He was a truck driver for Sathers Candy Company.

 He loved fishing, his family, grandchildren and his dog, Rocky. 

 Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Diane Bishop Davis and his parents, Sam Davis and Cleecie Scott Davis; sister, Judy Jenkins and brother, Sambo Davis.

 He is survived by his three children:  Ernest Davis, II of Cleveland, Mary Wilson and husband, Allen of Ooltewah , and Patricia Harper and husband, Mark of Ooltewah; seven grandchildren:  Krysta Davis of Birchwood, Micheal Harper of Ooltewah, Stevie Wilson of Ooltewah, Brandon Wilson of Ooltewah, Amber Wilson of Ooltewah, CourteneyDavis of Birchwood, and Jordan Harper of Ooltewah; brothers, Ronnie Davis and wife Betty Davis, Sonny Davis and wife, Nolie Davis all of Georgetown, Tommy Davis and wife, Sharon Davis of Birchwood, and Carl Davis and wife, Rosie Davis of Georgetown; sisters, Sally Bishop and husband, Ed Bishop of Georgetown and Carolyn Hadnott and husband, Charles Hadnott of Decatur.

 Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David Hooper officiating.  Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery with Ernest Davis, II, Micheal Harper, Steve Allen Wilson, Jr., Paul Bishop, Gary Dodson, Brandon Ernest Wilson and Steve Wilson serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

 The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and also Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
