Reuben Max Ledford
August 17, 1934 — February 19, 2015
Reuben Max Ledford, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He attended Cleveland Christian Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and also loved bowling. He was retired from Hardwicks Clothes.
Mr. Ledford was the son of the late Richard Ledford and Alice Hood Ledford and was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Chelsea Chastain and his sister, Lorene Toomey.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Ledford of Cleveland; two children: Karen Chastain-Dowdy and Rick Max Ledford; grandchild, Rikki Ledford Hannah of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Rylan Ledford, Kadyn Hannah and Bentley Hannah; one sister, Loreta Ellis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Randy Woody, Byron Woody, Marty Woody, Bob Taylor, Brandon Gregory and David Dowdy will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
