I only knew Weston as a young child, and I met his mother and father many years ago. I am the son of Murdock C. Archer Jr (deceased) of Hattiesburg MS. I always looked up to and admired the De Bate and Porter families. My condolences to you all. Glen Gamble posted on 6/23/15 I am shocked and saddened to hear of Weston's passing. I recently repaired his outboard engine. He told me that he was passing it down to his grandson. We had several conversations about "cajun country and food" and I loved the accent.I know he was very excited about going to Louisiana this fall and he said he would bring me some boudin. The next time I eat boudin, i'm sure it will remind me of Mr. Weston. I'm happy I got to know him. Peace be with his family. Mike Pope posted on 6/23/15 To Linda, Daniel, and all family members, my most sincere condolences. I loved Weston! Ive only known Weston for a few short years, but our hunting cabin trips will never be the same without him. I loved his stories of growing up in Louisiana, plinking with his trusty ole 22 rifle, and his occassional cajun french words slipping out, se bon! Weston was always kind and caring to me and all my family members who happened to be at the cabin, especially my son, David, and grandson, Grayson. Weston, you will be greatly missed! Mike Stockard posted on 6/23/15 Saturday morning I learned I had lost my closest and dearest friend. While I will grieve my loss my heart goes out to his beautiful wife Linda, his brother Jim, Danial, Weston, Christopher and the rest of his family. Over the years Weston and I spent many days and nights at our hunting cabin. This was a place he loved to go, a place he talked about family and we enjoyed some down-home cajun cooking. I will miss you my friend. Beci Humphrey posted on 6/22/15 The entire staff of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home wishes to express our deepest sympathy to the Porter family.
