Kenneth W. Hicks

April 3, 1955 — July 23, 2015

Kenneth W. Hicks, 60, a resident of Cleveland, passed away July 23, 2015, in a Chattanooga health facility. He was employed by Hilcrest Memorial Gardens, was an Army veteran, and loved the outdoors and his family. He was of the Baptist faith. We will greatly miss his humor and love of life. He was preceded in death by parents, Emmitt and Betty Pendergrass Hicks; and 2 brothers, Terry M. and Steve Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Hicks; 7 children, Kenny (Amy) Hicks of Elwood, IL, Adam and Heather Hicks of Joliet, IL, Cheyenne Hicks of Cleveland, TN; Nicole Hammond of Godley, IL, Jeremy Hammond of Cleveland, TN, and Heather Hammond of Decatur, TN; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister, Phyllis Hicks of Morris, I; 5 brothers, Tony Hicks of Coal City, Il, Rev. Randy (Jill) Hicks of Franklin, IN, Kerry Hicks of Bourbonnais, IL, Rev. Kevin D. Hicks of Cleveland, TN and Charles (Dotty) Hicks; special niece Breanna and also several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Beta Cemetery in Meigs Co. The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony. Serving as pallbearers will be: Keith Ledford, Jimmy Pullos, Jeremy Hammond, Charles Hicks, Kevin Hicks, and Kerry Hicks. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, prior to the service at the funeral home.
