Lynne Grayson Coats

Lynne Grayson Mueller Coats, 95, a resident of Cleveland since the late 1950's passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was regent of the local chapter of the DAR and also a member of the Garden Club and the Bridge Club. Mrs. Coats was preceded in death by her husband, John Greene and was the daughter of the late Leo Charles Mueller and Lynne Grayson Mueller; and was also preceded in death by her grandson, John Greene Coats; one sister, Lillian Hallett and one brother, Leo Charles Mueller, Jr. She is survived by her three children: Dr. W. Grayson Neve and wife, Jay Jay of Cleveland, TN, David Coats and wife, Jennifer of Wilkesboro, NC, and John Coats of The Woodlands, Houston, Texas; six grandchildren: Willard Grayson Neve, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Patricia Lynne Hartley of Aiken, SC, Michael Edward Coats of Aiken, SC, Gloria Grace Louis-Fils of Kansas City, MO, and Joy Christina Coats of Greenville, SC, and John Greene Coats, VI of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Billie Montgomery of Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Pastor Joel Huffstettler officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the funeral home.
