David Austin Maples

David Austin Maples, 46, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in a local hospital. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was employed with TVA. David was preceded in death by his cousin, Lilly Robinson; grandparents: Austin Maples, Edith Headrick Maples, James David Fleeman and Edna Liner Fleeman. He is survived by his faithful and loyal wife of 17 years, Desha Maples of Cleveland; two daughters: Margaret (Maggie) Maples and Alexandria (Allie) Maples both of Cleveland; parents: Roy Austin Maples and Nancy Fleeman Maples of Lakeland, FL; sister, Jennifer Maples Guy and husband, Boyd Miller Guy of Marietta, GA; mother-in-law, Patricia Kitchen of Cleveland; sister-in-law: Roxanne Wooten and husband, L.E. of Cleveland; brothers-in-law, Glenn Davis and wife, Beverly of Johnson City, Chip Davis and wife, Deanna of Murfreesboro, Tom Davis and wife, Marcella of Cleveland; aunts and uncles: Sheilah Sellers and husband, Benton, and Karen Robinson and husband, Steve all of Cleveland; cousins: Meredith Harrison Sellers, MD of Chicago, Illinois, and Sam Robinson and wife, Anna of Kansas City; nieces and nephews: Hallie Headrick Guy, Miller Guy, Sarah Byrd, Kendall Davis, Colbie Davis and great-niece, Emma Byrd. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church with Tim Brackin officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
