Rev. George W.L. Johnson

Reverend George W. L. Johnson, age 71, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 with his family by his bedside. He was a retired Church of God minister and member of North Cleveland Church of God. He had pastored in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. He also had worked at Magic Chef in his younger years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Johnson and Olivia Marr Johnson. Also he was preceded in death by his triplet grandson, Caleb Aaron Brady in 2006 at the age of 2 weeks. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Beverly Morrow Johnson; son Shane Johnson and wife Dana Johnson; daughter, Sabrina Brady and husband Mitchell Brady; three granddaughters, who were the pride of his life: Olivia Brady, triplets Bethany and Kylee Brady; one brother Hoyle Johnson; one sister Doris Baker. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. At his request, no funeral service will be held. A private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens beside his grandson, with Reverend Ryan Helms and Reverend David Peters officiating. Pallbears will be Jamie, Milan, Kevin, Bryan and Andrew Cranfield, Blake Morrow, and Terry Caywood.
