Aimee Elizabeth Akins

Aimee Elizabeth Akins, 34, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016, in a Chattanooga hospital.  She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church and loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Akins of Cleveland; three children, Joshua, Elijah and Shanna Akins, all of Cleveland; her mother, Mary Elizabeth McGurl and husband, Frank of Arab, AL, her father, Steven Witherspoon and wife, Sherry of Cleveland; step-brothers, Jason and Dustin Elliott; nephew, Elkin Elliott and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at Beacon Baptist Church, 505 Corvin Rd. Cleveland, TN 37323, with Pastor Floyd Boggess officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home on Sunday prior to the service at the church.
